A kiállítás alkotásai a nem-hely/non lieu fogalmát értelmezik újra, tágítják ki; a nemhelyek és a magány kapcsolatát vizsgálják az egyén nézőpontjából.

Marc Augé olyan tereket nevez nem-helyeknek, melyek személytelenek, melyekben nem jelenik meg a társadalmi viszonyrendszer. A kiállításon bemutatott munkák szereplői az őket körülvevő helytől eltávolodva vannak jelen a mű által megjelenített pillanatban.

Olyan, általában városi szituációkat láthatunk, melyekben az ottlevés élménye korlátozott, a hely módosultan jelenik meg a szereplő tapasztalásában. Ilyen például a gyermekkori távol levés érzés, amit a világ megismerhetetlensége okoz. Hasonló egyedüllét jelenik meg a városi ingázó mindennapos utazásában, ami nem-idő a napban és nem-helyen történik. Torzul a környezet megélése egy olyan helyzetben is, ahol a belső folyamatok annyira intenzívvé válnak, hogy elnyomják a külső világ észlelését.

Ilyen élményekkel foglalkoznak Duccio Guarneri, Murányi Kristóf és Tihanyi Anna munkái, melyek nagyon személyes, érzékeny értelmezései a körülöttünk lévő valóságnak. A nem-jelenlét művei.

The works on display at the exhibition reinterpret and expand the concept of non lieu, they examine the relationship between nonplaces and loneliness from the individual’s point of view.

Marc Augé calls impersonal places that do not incorporate social connections as non lieu. The presence of people appearing in artworks on view at the show is distant from the places surrounding them. They depict usually urban situations in which the experience of being there is limited, the surrounding place is perceived in a modified way by the character shown in the artwork.

Such situations include for instance the childhood-time experience of being far away due to lack of knowledge on the world. Similarly, the everyday commute is associated with a solitary feeling, it happens in the nontime of the day in a nonplace. The perception of the surrounding reality is distorted when inner processes are so intense that they oppress the way the outer world is experienced.

The works by Duccio Guarneri, Kristóf Murányi and Anna Tihanyi present such experiences and provide a very intimate, sensitive interpretation of our surrounding reality. The interpretations of nonpresence.
