Szeretettel meghívunk a MOME kurzusheti programja keretében egyetemünkre látogató fotóművészek, Laia Abril és Klenyánszki Csilla előadásaira, melyeket 2022. október 21-én, pénteken 10 órakor tartunk a MOME TWO filmstúdióban.

Az két negyven perces előadást követően beszélgetésre is lehetőség nyílik az alkotókkal.

Klenyánszki Csilla munkái performatív eszközökkel, játékos formában teremtik újra a hétköznapi élet egyensúlyait, a fizikai és mentális harmóniát. Humorosan, olykor ironikusan vallanak emberről és tárgyi környezetéről. Legyen szó takarításról, főzésről, gyereknevelésről, otthoni munkamegosztásról, Klenyánszki sajátos szobrai, melyekbe rendszerint magát és családját is belefoglalja, mindenki számára ismerős helyzeteket elevenítenek fel és világítanak rá az otthon szabályainak kritikus megközelítésére.

Laia Abril kutatásalapú művészeti gyakorlata egyaránt alkalmaz fotót, szöveget, videót és hangokat. Munkái ismeretlen és nyugtalanító témákat, szexualitásról, étkezési zavarokról és a nemek közötti egyenlőségről szóló történeteket dolgoznak fel.

/// Artist Bio

Csilla Klenyánszki is a visual artist and photographer, based in The Netherlands. She studied photography at the Willem de Kooning Academy in Rotterdam and did the Master’s program at the Dutch Art Institute. In addition to photography, she also works in the genre of video and performance. In her work, she explores topics such as the personal and social context of motherhood, biopolitical and gender issues, alternative family models, and gender equality.

In 2018 she won the Prix de la nature morte at the 33rd Festival International de Mode & de Photographie. Her first self published book, titled Pillars of home, was nominated for the First PhotoBook Award by the Paris Photo-Aperture Foundation PhotoBook Awards in 2019. Her work has been presented, amongst others, at the Stedelijk Museum Schiedam, Arnhem Museum, Museum het Valkhof, Robert Capa Contemporary Photography Center in Budapest, Gallery of Photography Ireland, Athens Photo Festival and so on. She has worked for the New York Times, Süddeutsche Zeitung Magazin, NRC, Volkskrant Magazine and Liberation.

Laia Abril (1986) is a research-based artist working with photography, text, video, and sound. After graduating from college with a degree in Journalism, she moved to New York to focus on photography, where she decided to start telling intimate stories that raise uneasy and hidden realities related to sexuality, eating disorders, and gender equality. In 2009, she enrolled in the artist residency at FABRICA, the Benetton Research Centre in Treviso, where she worked as a researcher, photo editor, and staff photographer at Colors Magazine for 5 years.

Abril’s projects are produced across platforms such as installations, books, web docs, and films. Her work has been shown wildely and published internationally and is held in private collections and museums, such as Centre Pompidou and FRAC in France, Musée de l’Elysée and Fotomuseum Winterthur in Switzerland, MoCP in Chicago, and MNAC and FotoColectania in Barcelona.
