A lecture in architectural history
Architect and historian of architecture Robert McCarter published his monograph on Marcel Breuer in 2016. Aiming for exhaustiveness, the album offers a detailed discussion of the world-famous Hungarian-born architect and designer’s oeuvre, from his Bauhaus years and collaboration with Walter Gropius, through the buildings realized, and the furniture designed, in Europe, to his activity in the United States.
Robert McCarter is a practising architect, and has been a professor of Washington University in St. Louis since 2007. He was previously director of the School of Architecture at the University of Florida, and taught at Columbia University. His talk on World Architecture Day is a part of the event series that celebrates the 10th anniversary of FUGA.
A lecture in English, with simultaneous interpretation in Hungarian.
